Description<\/strong>:\u00a0 Ten years after the events of the previous film, four closely knit friends from Detroit\u2014Michael, Frankie, Inkelaar and new father Williams\u2014are U.S. Army soldiers deployed to the Middle East for their first tour as they must deal with the monsters and a new insurgency on the rise.<\/p>\n

Monsters: Dark Continent<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(also known as\u00a0Monsters 2: Dark Continent<\/b><\/i>\u00a0or simply\u00a0Monsters 2<\/b><\/i>) is a 2014 British\u00a0science fiction<\/a>\u00a0monster film<\/a>\u00a0written by Jay Basu and English director Tom Green. It is the sequel to 2010’s\u00a0Monsters<\/a><\/i>, directed by\u00a0Gareth Edwards<\/a>. Due to commitments with\u00a0Godzilla<\/a><\/i>, Edwards did not return to direct, but served as an executive producer. Filming began in March 2013, taking place in\u00a0Jordan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Detroit<\/a>\u00a0(U.S.<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The film premiered at the\u00a0BFI London Film Festival<\/a>\u00a0on 9 October 2014. Originally scheduled for a wide release on 28 November, the film was pushed back to 1 May 2015<\/p>\n

This is presumably an attempt to make the film more marketable overseas, but it just adds to the general pall of insincerity.<\/p>\n
